CONTROL | Containment | Threshold

Containment Threshold - boy, oh boy. The first big area I worked on. Our Senior Environment Artist, Kari Huttunen, moved to different challenges, which allowed me to do a bigger level area. The groundwork had already been laid, with clocks overrunning the Threshold, and the sector had been evacuated for safety reasons. The layout ended up changing a little, as I added another office space next to the maintenance, near the security booth. Set dressing and adding the feel of a maintenance route were on me.
UPDATE: Added a couple of images with notes about the things I did for these spaces. I hope you find them insightful.

For this area, I ended up doing similar things to the area before; doubling down on pillars, especially ones not supporting any visible structure, and helping out with matching architectural elements with each other to form a coherent and pleasing feeling

The machinery in the center is used to separate spaces of the room, and the piping on the ceiling has been made to support the same separation.
